THIS THING SAVES ME
When you have a class of 26 up to 34 pupils it is always a challenge when you want to choose which pupil to call out to the front, to answer a question and more. You will end up choosing the ones that you are very familiar with or ones that are always at the front of your mind. Hence, there will be pupils who will be left out or shall I say forgotten? I mean….teachers are humans after all.
One of the way that I discovered and used in my English classes this year is an online wheel picker. Of course, if you could display it in front of the class as well is a bonus because the pupils will so excited to see whose name is going to be picked.
What is that? You may ask……
It’s an online based version of the famous ‘Wheel of fortune’ game but one that you can customise with your pupils’ names. So, when you want to call out a pupil just click and spin it! And the rest is left to FATE. 😂

After using it for quite some time, I can assure you, teachers that the pupils are very engaged and even more excited to take part in the task.
